It’s always a good time to resolve to make small incremental improvements to your home to increase its value and the sanctuary it gives you. There are many small projects you can do for every room in the house to make it great again. You could frame a mirror, add some wall art, or add some accent furniture to any of the rooms in your home. When it comes to easy projects, one of the easiest is giving your mirrors a makeover. Sure a mirror may be just glass on the surface, but it could be so much more; let us give you a couple of ideas.

CREATE A HIS & HERS MIRROR

While you may think the mustache is only in again with 20-something hipsters drinking gourmet coffee drinks, you are wrong. More specifically FAKE mustaches are the hottest trend in accents in everything from journals to wall art. Well, why not add a mirror to that list? You can create his and hers bathroom vanity mirrors by using a mustache cling and a kiss lips cling available on Amazon. This will give your bathroom a fun and quirky appeal to an otherwise boring, plain mirror.

CREATE A DECORATIVE TEXANS MAN CAVE MIRROR

Similar to the mustache mirror, you can create a Texans man cave mirror using Houston Texans decals and other themed pieces. Take some crown molding and paint it Texans colors and apply Texans bumper stickers with a polyurethane seal. Simply affix the decals to the molding and seal them in with a thin coat of sealant to give it a cool custom look. It isn’t hard to frame a mirror like this, but it does take some patience.

CREATE A BEACH THEMED CABANA MIRROR

If you have a pool and a small cabana this project is perfect for you but requires a bit of skill and a workspace. Using some smooth stones, some seashells and a bit of sand you can create a unique beach themed mirror. Take some clear drying adhesive and spray a 2-inch border around the mirror; then, before it dries, sprinkle sand all over the mirror, let it dry, and then use an air compressor to blow the excess off. Then affix the stones and seashells around the border of the mirror using clear epoxy. Add as much or as little as you like and allow to cure overnight. It’s that simple.
